I am going to do 2 trials so this was my first. I used 6 oz yogurt jars from Amazon and 444 Golden Brands soy wax. ALL stayed lit which was my first good sign. I had them lit for 1 hr bc they are a smaller diameter so each candle has reached a full pool for the diameter of the jar, which was also a good sign to make sure they could be used in bigger jars. The LX-18 wick had ALOT of mushrooming I assume it was bc it was made for a bigger jar which it is, so I still need to run trial 2. There was only a little little bit of mushrooming with the CD-8 which is a super close second. With the ECO-8 there was no mushrooming at all and a small tilt to the wick as it burned which is what eco wicks do so over all all wicks passed, the only reason the CD and ECO are better is bc of the tiny to no mushrooming. My next test will be in my 2.8 diameter jar so we will see if the mushrooming is better with the LX and if all the wicks complete a full wax pool! Your starting recommendation was to use the LX 18, I did the 18,20 and 22 all with the comfort blend paraffin wax at a 7% scent load and 4 drops of liquid dye. After doing the wick test the 18 was spot on. On the 7 oz jar I get right at 32 hours of burn time using the LX18, the 20 and 22 both had issues with  build up on the wick and heavy smoke. The only think I'm not sure of is all 3 had mushrooming of the wick. Is this normal? Should I try another wick? Or drop my % down to 6%?
