The jar was filled to the very top and couldn't hold a drop more, so I will probably use 6 oz of wax next time. The melt pool reached the edges of the container in ~3 hours during the first burn. Hot throw is decent in my living room, which is a 13' x 20' space with one half wall open that leads into a hallway. I wouldn't be surprised if it could handle bigger rooms. Overall, I am very pleased with this jar size for candles. I miiiight try the CD 12 wick next time and see how that changes things.
